MUSE, An Undergraduate Music Studies Journal at UCLA, invites you to its fifth annual conference, “Music in Dialogue.” In celebration of our fifth volume, MUSE is hosting a two-day conference that highlights the research and creative works of undergraduates, terminal master’s students, and independent scholars from UCLA and institutions all over the country. In addition to an eclectic set of student panels, the conference will also include roundtable workshops where our own faculty and staff members will share their experiences within and beyond the discipline. Our presenters’ abstracts will be published in a special issue of conference proceedings (Vol. 5, No. 1) this Spring. Our keynote speaker this year is Corey Harris, an American blues musician and recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship. This event is free and open to the public and will be held in the Green Room at Schoenberg Hall.
