As an undergraduate organization, CORE (Community Outreach Resource Education) aims to highlight systemic issues that often go underreported in the field of healthcare through raising awareness in media mediums such as podcasts and articles in conjunction with enabling our members to participate in action initiatives related to these issues within local communities around the nation. We hope in the process to offer our members a holistic understanding of modern medicine and emphasize the importance of intersecting science and social factors. We offer a variety of programs that we have partnered with to help deliver a personal and direct experience with local communities, starting in South and West Los Angeles.
In this event, we highlight the ongoing research projects that our members have been involved in at UCLA in the past year and ask you to join us if you are looking for similar opportunities in these fields.
