The Academic Conference for English Students (ACES) provides a collaborative forum for students of literature to give oral presentations of their research and creative work. The Undergraduate Committee invites and encourages all English and American Literature and Culture majors and English minors to submit for consideration the best academic essays or examples of creative writing on any topic or theme they have produced in an English course at UCLA. This includes work that students have completed, or are in the process of completing, for a course, as well as independent academic or creative proposals. Students in related fields of literary, linguistic, film, or cultural studies are also encouraged to submit their work for consideration.
